A reception desk for the new media library in Saleilles, 3D printed in concrete by 3D Concrete and co-designed with the library staff, alongside two printed planters for the building's terrace.

The reception desk for the new media library in Saleilles was designed with the library's own staff: leg clearance, working height, storage zones and accessibility were fixed in a co-design phase before the volumes were drawn. Concrete extrusion gives curved forms without formwork, and the geometries could be adjusted while the project was running. The counter has two levels, carried by a row of draped legs on which every printed layer stays visible. Lighting set under the pale wood tops catches the terracotta gradient of the concrete from below. Outside, two large planters are printed the same way, with a dripping texture and gradients that pass from red and ochre into white. The concrete is formulated for intensive use: the library is a busy public building.
