L-System Shape

A vase generated from a Lindenmayer L-System grammar, with geometry that follows the rules of biological growth.

The shape of this vase comes from an L-System, a formal grammar Hungarian biologist Aristid Lindenmayer invented in 1968 to model how plants and bacteria develop and spread. Applied to a 3D printed object, the grammar makes the vase's geometry follow the same rules as biological growth.
